The Christmas Collection

Christmas is right round the corner isn't it? Well it will be in the blink of an eye. Then it's time to be in full holiday swing. To have the tree up with presents wrapped under it and little decorations here and there around the house. My gifts are usually of the edible kind. My kitchen turns into some sort of Santa's Edible Workshop and the oven is on all the time. I love entertaining, holiday cooking and baking, having a bunch of friends over, planning and making the menus. That is the best part of Christmas for me. I love December so much I could wrap my arms around it and hug it so tight it would burst!!
Lemon Tart €15An elegant, tangy, sublime citrus tart. The fresh, crumbly pastry encases a thin layer of chocolate which is in harmony with the creamy lemon custard that covers it giving it a bittersweet flavour to delight the palate.Serves 8 to 10

Almond & Clementine Cake €15Little bits of apricots and clementine juice make this cake light and moist, while the almonds give it a compact texture. Ideal as a dessert or even as a tea time treat. Serves 8

Christmas Cake €25A profusion of dried fruit soaked in whisky, tea and marmalade makes this cake rich but not overpowering. It is then topped with a shower of fruit, nuts and seeds giving it a jewelled appearance. Serves 10 to 12

Mulled Wine Sorbet €12This a truly special sorbet! All the lovely, spicy, zesty aroma of mulled wine transformed from something warm into a beautiful cold contrast where the flavours are still exquisite and intense complimented by its luscious freshness and deep colour.
